  • This life's too good to last

Now for my 96th video, and an all time favourite song. I'm so pleased I got around to this one. A few years ago I got into a band called Muse. After hearing a selection of their songs, I rushed out and snapped up all their CD's :)

The song I've covered in this video is from the excellent album "Absolution", and the title of it is "Blackout". I happen to think that it is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The music is relatively simple and so are the words, but the message is so powerful and well put across. Something I hope I've done justice to.

Have a listen to my version of "Blackout".

As always, here's the latest YT figures.

My subscribers have climbed up to 1,619.

My channel has been perused 36,499 times.

The total viewing figures for all my videos now stands at 831,005.

I haven't yet planned my next video upload. It will probably be another of my enormous request list, or perhaps I might put up another original!

  • My take on Swallowed in the sea

This next video was another one of my requests. I finally decided to do it when one of my subscribers asked me to do the song and dedicate it to her boyfriend, who also happens to be one of my subscribers, and according to his girlfriend he is a big fan of mine. The requested number was "Swallowed in the sea" by that great band Coldplay. I've had lots of requests for many different Coldplay songs including this one. My youtube channel already has a good number of them.

It was taken from the excellent album X&Y. I hope you enjoy my rendition.

So it's back to the stats for my Youtube channel, and so far my Subscribers have climbed to 1,414.

The viewings of my channel have gone past the 33k barrier to 33,008. The total video views is close to the 700k landmark at 687,830. I'm hoping that figure will be passed before the end of the month.

Now, just a little info on the next post. I have already done a recording of the song, and in my opinion, it is one of the most wonderful modern compositions I've ever heard. I wont spoil it by saying anything now, and I'm hoping that will have created an air of anticipation. Until then :)

  • Another Fray number.

I have been accused of miming in my videos, and I have to say that I take that as a great compliment. That they should be convinced that I'm miming to someone elses voice.

I thought I'd have a little fun with that idea for this video. It's a slideshow of my photographs with a difference. One that interacts.

This song is called "You found me" and is by a group called "The Fray". I did another one of their songs on Youtube called "How to save a life".

See what you think of my rendition of this song.

Here's the regular Youtube statistics digest.

The subscriber increase is still on that climb and has now reached 1,408.

The visits to my channel page now stand at 32,714.

The total views for all my videos is 677,653.

My next video is a Coldplay number and a dedication for a couple of my subscribers.

  • A Neil number.

I'm now up to my 93rd video.

It's time to get some requests done, and this is the most requested of all of them. There have been requests for quite a few different Neil Diamond songs, and I've covered a good deal already on Youtube, but this one has evaded my microphone thus far.

And the name of the song is "Love on the rocks". Take a listen to my version. Neil Diamond compositions are always a joy for me to sing.

Let's get back down to the nitty gritty figures. Everything seems to be moving forward well on Youtube.

My subscribers have climbed up to 1,406.

The channel views have now moved forward to 32,593. and the total viewing figures for all my videos combined is 673,277!!

Looking ahead to my next post. It's going to be another of my most requested, and it's a song by "The Fray". Then something from Coldplay :)

  • A Carpenters song.

I'm taking a bit of a time out from telling my fathers story. I will be coming back to it.

It's been a while since I uploaded my last video to Youtube, but the viewing figures still seem to be consistent. I recorded some requests recently, and this is the first of that batch.

It's a classic from the Carpenters. It was pure fluke that I saw a documentary about them the other night. That's probably the reason why it's going first.

The name of the song is "For all we know", and this is my rendition of it.

Now for an update on the statistics. They've moved on a bit.

The subs are healthily up at 1,368.

    The channel views are 31,758.

The total views for all my videos now stands at 648,469.

The next song I'm hoping to upload is a much requested Neil Diamond classic. Then my second Fray cover. Until then :)
